  • After college, while pursuing his acting career, he worked as a temporary administrative assistant, and could type 65 wpm. At one temp job in particular, he would page himself or his boss over the intercom for fun.
  • He has a “war” injury. In a scene during Part 4 of Band of Brothers, Ron (as Captain Lewis Nixon) gets his helmet knocked off by a bullet. To reenact the scene, he was supposed to fall into a ditch, and the prop crew would throw the helmet down next to him. In filming, as the helmet was thrown, it bounced and hit Ron in the eyebrow. When his eye started to swell, the director, David Nutter, decided to take over throwing the helmet. They shot the scene again. This was actually an accident during filming- instead of stopping for a retake-Ron went with it, and the director did too! (Ron seems to be a magnet for tossed props.... Manolo Blahnik's, Army helmets...)
  • Ron's sister makes a cameo appearance in one of his movies. In the film Relative Strangers Ron's younger sister Jennifer can be seen on television during one scene- she's playing a newscaster for a Chicago-area station- in reality, she's a news anchor in Wisconsin.
